I was looking for my copy, and so far I haven't found it, but it is a mock newspaper printed as if Durant is a real place, with Durant "news" about the Longmire series and books. My copy, picked up at the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce during the Longmire Days, had an interview with Craig Johnson.

I'll look around for some *Durant* papers. You might call the stair in Buffalo, called Re-ride. They had some a week ago.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I thought I posted this piece of info, but I guess I didn't: Season 6 of the TV series comes out in Blu-Ray/DVD in November. We're binge watching the whole series right now, just wrapping up Season 3. And that was supposed to be the end of the series on A&E! Ending on a cliffhanger. What were they thinking? Kudos to the Longmire Posse, the gang of fans on Twitter and Facebook who persuaded Netflix to continue the series.

A. Martinez (Nighthorse) said, during Longmire Days, that he is reading a lot of scripts, but finding anything comparable to the quality of the Longmire scripts is really rare.

Longmire season 6 officially released yesterday on DVD, sad that it's the last season of the TV series. Honestly, I think this should be made into a movie and released into theaters. Anybody else picking it up?

So many great moments in season 6. Every time I hear the Warren Zevon cover of "Back in the High Life Again" I'm sad for Lucian's death.

"This was not the ending I had hoped for. But it was the ending I expected."

Default Longmire Virtual Days 2020

The 9th season of Longmire Days has gone virtual because of the COVID pandemic, so next weekend, Aug.13-16, the entire world will be able to watch a whole range of events in front of their computer or TV. Not the same as being there for a live event, of course, but a pretty good alternative, especially for those of us who are stuck at home. Here's the website:
https://www.longmiredays.com/index.htm

Some events are free, and others require tickets.

Quote:
The virtual Longmire Days will feature readings from The Next to the Last Stand, the new book (publication date September 22nd) by Craig Johnson, with Robert Taylor, Lou Diamond Phillips, Louanne Stephens, Zahn McClarnon, John Bishop, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman, Jeffrey De Serrano, A Martinez, and George Guidall, who will be reading a new Longmire short story. We will also be conducting online Question & Answer sessions with the above participating actors, an online auction of Longmire items including pieces from the set of the Netflix series, musical performances by John Bishop and A Martinez, raffles, and much more.

Craig Johnson just won the Spur award for his latest book, The Longmire Defense. Congratulations, Craig! The next Longmire book will be out in May already, First Frost. And the Longmire Days are scheduled for July this year.
