have been pinning to come back ever since. i wish i could feel secure about job opportunities in the casper, wyo area. this is where i was and worked the getty mines. when i look into the jobs area - it seems to be a depressed situation i am really on the verge of taking my next three year earnings, packing up my youngest child and her two children and our stuff and just hi-tailing it out your way. could some one tell me just what kind of employment is available - or is it all service trade by this time in casper area? appreciate any info you have.

thanx much - stephi

P.S. i realize you can't see three years from now - but can you all judge from the past three years as to how the employment might be.
Here is a link for you...

State of Wyoming - Citizen

I do believe you would be safe as far as Casper is concerned in the next three years, but things can happen and happen quickly. I wish I had that crystal ball Luck to you!

Very, very good pics. Love the tree shots, too.

Thank you for posting those great pics. I Bought some land out there and am looking to build in a few years. How far out from Laramie were those pictures taken at that lake?

These are the type of pictures we use when we put our website for Wyoming up on the internet this summer. Take a look at travelinfomap.com for an example as to how we showed South Dakota off. This is what we plan on doing for Wyoming next. Check my blog if you want more information.

The Snowies are 30 minutes west of Laramie...the closest town is Centennial which sits at the foothills.

If you have experience in the mining industry, you may want to see about getting on board with TriHydro as a Technician (saying that entry level position not knowing your ed. background) They are an Environmental/Engineering Consultant Group. Husband just landed an Engineer position and was told they have a need to hire list about 30 people deep!

I love your photos. I love Wyoming. I grew up in Rock Springs, and now my folks and a couple of my brothers live in Upton and New Castle, Wyo.
I live in OH, and yes there are some things that are breath taking, but, nothing beats the mountains, the peace in the air, and the feeling of being away from it all. Thanks for sharing.
