Default Need some opinions on Sheridan/Buffalo vs Cody

Hey all,

I'm starting to make some long-term plans and they include a future move to either the Cody area or the Buffalo/Sheridan area. I'm currently in Gillette, but I've always been a trees/mountains/water kind of guy and there's not much of that around here besides the Cedar/Rochelle hills.

What are your opinions of the two areas? I lived just north of Cody for a year or so and I know the area a little bit. I've only driven through Buffalo and Sheridan. It seems that Buffalo is more realistic since there is some energy around there, but Cody also has a really nice stake in the tourism industry.

Any thoughts?

Depends on what you are looking for?? Cody is close to Yellowstone. Lots of tourists in Summer months. Sheridan is 11,000 or so lots to do. Buffalo is 4000 small town All have good fishing hunting. Prices for homes are about the same. Good luck
