I just can't wait to leave!!
I have been living in Casper for about 2 months. I am a young women coming from a large city with a lot of different people. Casper to me, is full of unprofessional, illiterate, unsophisticated, straight up po dunk people! Eating at a resturant here is a nightmare, which I absolutly love good food and good service, and am willing to tip up to 50% when deserved. Not one server has lived up to that here. I am sick of this town and I have a hard time understanding Casper Wy.

I get this kind of service too but depends on where I choose to go. And I believe it's not limited to Wyoming either. It's a problem everywhere these days. I can imagine it's been quite the adjustment compared to what you've had before. At least you gave it a shot and you tried. Good luck on your next journey.

Sorry it didn't rise to your expectations. Better luck in the next town. I am almost 50 years old. I have moved over 70 times in my life. To other towns and states. I do know what it is like to live somewhere your not comfortable. But hey, your young. Plenty of time to find the right town. Maybe.

I'm sorry to hear you don't like it here. I, too, love good food and good service--but I'm a good cook! Ironically I think the same thing when I go to other places--I find most city folk to be obnoxious, rude, and overbearing. I find that in a lot of cities service is a notion served cold. I've lived around the world--literally--and I choose to live here. Every place is what you make of it....

Nothing holding you back, I hope.
I know the good folks of the town wouldn't want to keep you away from all the things you need to have to be happy somewhere ....

We'll really miss your effete, snobbish attitude.

Well, I've only eaten in one restaurant in Casper. The service wasn't excellent, but it wasn't terrible, either. I would rate the service I received as average. That alone, even if it happened to me daily, would not be enough for me to decide to move away from a particular area. I have plenty of average restaurants where I reside now, but still enjoy living here (except for the part about being in California). I can't think of very many experiences here in the last fifteen years that I would rate much above average.
My reasons for wanting to leave where I am pertain mostly to the mindset of most Californians, or at least their perceived mindsets. It seems most people in California want "the government" to take care of them, rather than taking care of themselves. This takes funding provided to these folks by the few hard working people that remain in California. I tend to be one of these hard working, tax paying individuals that is supporting many of the others that are here. I prefer to be more independent, and less reliant on the government than what is required to live in California. That's why I want to leave here (and also one of the reasons why I love Wyoming).
