Default Worland

My husband and I are considering relocating to Worland Wyoming. We are in our mid fifties. How is the economy? What kind of cultural activities are available? How cold are the winters? We live in Arkansas so the weather is totally different.

Default Worland

Small, and has lost population. Quite a bit colder than you're used to, and a bit isolated. I don't think the economy is too great, or that the area has benefitted from the energy boom like other parts of Wyoming. It is a quiet, liveable town, but an odd choice to move to.
Maybe others can give more insight.

Default It's OK

Good town for some, not so good for others. 5000 people in the middle of the Bighorn basin won't have much in the way of employment, culutural activities, etc. That should be obvious.
Have you visited? If you have, and think you can make a go of it, by all means try it. You must visit. I checked and the housing market there is quite limited, and houses going for a bit more than I would have guessed, Maybe there is some energy activity in the area.
Worland is about 15% Latino which could be a problem.

Why would 15% Latino be a problem?
