Exclamation Looking for rental housing in Baggs, Dixon, Savory please!

My husband has been working in Baggs since July and the rest of our family lives in Southwest Ne. We are really desperate to all be together again. Any info on These small towns and/or house rentals available would be greatly appeciated.

We hunt over by there so I know the area. I'm not sure you'll find much in the way of rentals. I would call the city, anyone should be able to direct you to the right people. Or you could find something down in Craig Colorado, it's about a 30 minute drive from Baggs, it's 9,000 people so they would have more available. It's also where everyone does their shopping. The area around Baggs is beautiful, there just isn't too much there.

earniefan is right.the 3 towns together i believe have less than 500 people combined.the town of baggs has a website with some links, there is at least one realator in town you can link to from the site you could contact.i doubt there are many rentals, there are a few places for sale.craig, colorado as noted, is close by and much bigger[though still fairly small]and would likely have many more rental options, until you could find something around baggs.prices on houses seem a bit cheaper to me in craig also

It's a beautiful area, but housing in the Carbon county area is tied up pretty tight right now. I think the Craig idea is best. If you tried to rent in Rawlins, or something, you'd have problems because of the weather. Commuting can be difficult.

I know that there are 3 homes that are vacant in Dixon. They're on top of the hill by the water tower. However, they are owned by Three Forks Ranch, and whether they would rent them out is another question--but they've let go of quite a few people as of late (hence empty homes.) The ranch manager isn't too easy to get along with, but he may be needing the money....

Edit: Sorry--disregard--the last post didn't register in my brain....
