If "small towns" scare you, then your choices in Wyoming are going to be very limited ... even the half-dozen biggest "towns" wouldn't qualify as a city suburb in most of the USA.

What do you consider small? Really. I'm in Sheridan, we have 15,804 people. We kind of think we're a big town. haha We got everything a big town has. We got us an airport, a movie theater, a regular theater with actors and a stage. We got us a super Wal-Mart and a Home Depot. What else in life could one want? haha

You should read the other thread about Centennial on here, it's titled "Centennial Wyoming a "NO"' It's pretty funny. We plan to retire in Centennial by the river but we live in Wyoming and are moving back to Laramie asap, so we know what it's about. Small towns in Wyoming are not like small towns in other states, they're full of quircky people that do what they want and do things their own way. Basically the counties are too big for the deputies to police every little thing so people kind of take care of things themselves and decide what's okay and what isn't. Where do you live now?

I want to retire in Centennial too. It's very pretty, lots of fun characters, but a lot cheaper than Jackson. (for now).

I would venture to say it will always be cheaper than Jackson. Albany county is pretty good at keeping the lid on things, they would never let big developers in Centennial.
