Default Looking to take family snowmobiling

We live in Fort Collins CO and are looking for some places to get a 2 bedroom cabin, and rent some snowmobiles in WY for the weekend at a reasonable rate. Anyone got any ideas. We appreciate it and Thanks. Please email at hubbahubbatmerritt@yahoo.com

There should be lots of places in the Snowy range ,to the west of Laramie ? Might do a web search for snowmobile trips in Wyoming or some such thing. Might look in Saratoga too. There used to be a place called Wycolo, I think, up on top of the mountain on the Colorado border that had all of the things you are looking for.

Not sure how far you are wanting to drive, I know the Bighorn mountains outside of Sheridan have places to snowmobile and a few lodges.

I've heard good things about Bear Lodge outside of Sheridan. They say some of the best snowmobiling in the lower 48 is in the Bighorn Mountain Range.

There's also some good trails south of there at Meadowlark Lake Resort. It's outside of Buffalo.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but this topic is what my question is about.
My wife and I are going to Jackson Hole next month and we are definitely going snowmobiling in Yellowstone. So far the rates and packages available online are pretty equal in price and what they do. Is there any particular company to avoid? or one that is far superior to the rest? I can't wait to have snow blasting in my face, it's been almost 30 years.

Our family has gone snowmobiling the last couple of years in Jackson. We've stayed at Spring Creek Resort and they put my husband in contact with a man in Pinedale that had all the machines we needed and gave tours. We were going at Spring Break and there was bumper to bumper snowmobiles doing the Yellowstone tour - we wanted more nature and less people. This man had all the clothes and boots we needed (four adults and two children). It was so fabulous. We rode up a valley into the mountains until we came to a cabin where we had a meal and walked around some before returning back to the van a different way from the ride up. We had so much fun we had to go back the next year.

I know when we were first researching it did seem like the prices were about the same. You could ask your hotel if they recommend anyone. It could be they have a package or an arrangement.

if you happen to remember a name, please DM me it. I noticed that there were a lot of snowmobilers going on that same route and that could be an issue, but I absolutely have to see Old Faithful if I'm that close to it. It would be like going to Rapid City and not seeing Mount Rushmore.
I would love to find a more private and intimate tour that still goes by Old Faithful. I think it would be worth spending a little more, but they would have to have the outer clothing included. Living where I live, I obviously don't have anything like that. The "cold" here would be a warm winter day up there.

The man we used did not do the Yellowstone run. I laughed when you mentioned Mount Rushmore. When we have been there I could not believe how many people and vehicles there were. I offered to take a couples picture with their camera and the next thing we knew about six groups lined up to get their picture taken!

Why not pick a place and call them. If you have your heart set on Old Faithful ya gotta expect a lot of other people will also. When you are agreeable to paying a little extra they may have an idea that would fill your desire. There may be certain days that have less people. It never hurts to ask. Have fun!

Taking a sleigh ride in the Elk Reserve (I may be calling it the wrong name) is a really nice trip also. There were trips of various lengths - some with meals - some without.

Sorry I can't remember names. Onine search should give you some. All my Wyoming info is in Wyoming. It is too cold for me there right now!
