You're kidding, right? No, not you Scott . . . Motley Fool. I've learned to take what they say with a grain of salt. Well, I guess if one is into igloo building, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing, then these states are fine, weather wise. But, if you are into "summer" sports and activities like I am, eh, maybe the weather isn't so great year round. There is more to selecting a retirement location than taxes.

Those are called half backs. For years we had snowbirds that would live North and go South for the winter. They realized they were not getting 4 seasons and besides, things were crowded. So they stated going to places that were half way. Gives them the advantage of more moderate temps, nice days but cooler evenings.
