What sad news this is for us all! Elkhunter was the stalwart and sentinel of this Wyoming forum. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or some words of wisdom. He had a passion for everything that embodied the spirit of Wyoming and its people. I myself will be moving to Sheridan this July, and I had hoped to meet him and exchange anecdotes of our times in this great state. God speed! And someday see you on the other side!

Wow. I knew he had a rough go with his health. We never sat down to coffee, we talked about doing that few times. Had a few phone conversations with him. He was a great guy.

Rest easy, sailor. You will be sorely missed.

Very sorry to hear the sad news. Tremendous ambassador for the Sheridan area.

In addition to all of his friends on CD, Jim had a very large family. He has three kids here in Sheridan, another four (I think) in nearby states and Timber - his service dog and constant companion. He was also very close with his brother in SoCal.

He will be sorely missed by all...
