I didn't really know Elkhunter personally, but he seems like a good guy and seemed to be well-liked by everybody here. R.I.P. to him and condolences to his family.

Would someone post his obituary on here when or if it is posted on the Sheridan Press but only if the family would want it to. Elkhunter proved that he could touch people's lives without ever meeting him.

I will also say I did not personally know ElkHunter. He contributed a lot to City-Data. He will be greatly missed by many.

Posted this morning at Sheridan Media:

James “Jim” Gussler

"James “Jim” Gussler, 61, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his residence.
Online condolences may be written at www.kanefuneral.com.
Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements."

His veterinary hospital this morning told me that his local family members have been taking care of Timber lately, so she's apparently taken care of.

I just saw the sad news in the Montana forum which he of course also moderated. Thank you for letting us know. We will miss him--always upbeat, always looking ahead, despite one setback after another. He let us into his and Timber's life, and now it truly feels like we have lost a friend.

Oh NO! So very sad to hear this... he was the best and will be greatly missed.

Praying for his family. RIP Elkhunter.

I didn't know he had had surgery. Looks like his last posts were on the 24th.
