Default Laramie - job

Hi, my brother currently lives in Ft. Collins CO, and works as a personal trainer (for workout gyms). He did work at a gym in Ft Collins, but he wasn't getting enough hours. So now he works at a gym in Loveland CO, and he's not getting enough there either. The competition from so many gyms in that area is having a negative impact on his career. I was wondering if he would have better luck working at a gym in Laramie. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks a lot!

Default gyms

If you check the internet or yellow pages in Laramie for gyms you'll see that it could be a problem. There's not much.

love the west, Has he thought about working for a recreation center ? In Rock Springs, and several other Wyoming towns, There are large rec centers that hire trainers . Might look into that ? Also might keep an eye out for jobs at the University or other colleges.

ijwyo is on a distinguished road
Look at Casper, we have about ten health clubs/ gyms, a rec center, college, and a ymca. I know the Wyoming athletic center is a very nice gym and has trainers, and there is also weight watchers type of place and smaller places with aerobics that might be well suited, I don't know who is hiring and what they pay. Casper is bigger than Laramie, and the population is not based off of mostly college kids, like the univ. of wy in Laramie, so there could be more demand. College students don't have cash for personal trainers, they join the cheapest gym or take a P.E. class for credit. You might look at Gillette, Rock Springs, Jackson, Cheyenne, Riverton, or other towns in Colorado like Grand Junction.Best of Luck!

Thanks very much everyone. We actually have family in Casper, so that might work for him. Thanks again.
