I'll talk about Casper, since it's really the only part of Wyoming I'm familiar with. I don't know how well Ayurvedic medicine would go here, so I would really do some due diligence. It might work, but this town does not seem very alternative. On the other hand, there is a pho restaurant that is making it. So who knows?

Casper has been boom and bust, but apparently less so as the population grows. I like Casper. My kids like Casper. My coworkers are great. My job is great. But I won't lie, it's a little clubby. Many here are newcomers, but the long-timers have been a little hands off. Or at least that's been my feeling.

Also, you would not be the only people from Louisiana here. I was really surprised to see as many Louisiana plates here as I have (though it's perfectly sensible as to why).

Someone I know from college is married to someone from Wyoming, and she mentioned Casper as a place I should research. What is your line of work?

I work in the schools. Best job ever.

I like Casper, but I also recognize that it is not everyone's cup of tea.

It's become a Democratic state. The war on the Second Amendment was the primary reason that we left.

Old Colorado no longer exixts.

The important question is why because we don't wish to see the same in Wyoming. I suggest that you read the linked thread.

CAsper has the most crooked and ticket giving cops in Wyoming. And that is saying alot because in general they like to give tickets all over.

Casper also has the worse political freedom record in all of wyoming.

The Casper city counsel is the reason the Firearms freedom act was pushed thru. They really thought that you really did not need guns. Of course they needed them and there was exemptions for the city counsel and friends.

I happened to stumble on a radio interview today where the guest had just completed ayurvedic medical treatment for cancer. The gentleman claims that the non-traditional approach greatly improved his quality of life after surviving colon cancer surgery, removal of 1 lung, and the accompanying chemotherapy of traditional medicine.

He said he was treated in Durango, Colorado and spoke very highly of the area and the practitioners there. I don't know anything about Durango or ayurvedic medicine, but I thought I would pass along the info in case the OP wants to explore it.

Isn't Montana gun country? They are trying to take your guns away?
