Went to Devil's Tower recently (twice). I love the hike around, and the view... Wish it had a better name though , one of the Native American ones... Guess some guy misunderstood the Native American word and we got stuck with "Devil's Tower". But anyway, it's a fun place... Would like to go on one of those beginner group climbs someday... Here are a few pictures...
I really liked this small field of yellow flowers...
a view from an overlook...

This was one of my tourist moments: "What do you mean they CLOSE the road?"

azwyo,
Are you sure it wasn't West of Buffalo? Won't see that kind of beauty East of Buffalo until you get down past Gillette.

A few pictures of my Recent trip to Yellowstone July 08
This time my husband and I stayed up in the Rosevelt Area and took the scenic Hwy to Cooke City, Mt. So this time a got a few pictures of different areas..
Enjoy.. I will post a few here, and if you want to see more, I will have more in my Blog in addition to these... Sorry if any of them are blurry, my stupid photo software and photobucket aren't always compatible.. but they should all come out I hope Enjoy
