Default Help is on the way.

Lots of jobs in Cheyenne. Homes are affordable. The state has a great first time home buyers program. Buyers agency available at most agencies. Good luck

Depending upon location, age, and quality of the housing, you can find 2 bedroom apartments for a few hundred and up per month.

2 Bedroom Rental houses are a little tougher to find, but the paper has had a few in the $500 and up range.

There are some decent condo's recently built which were targeted to a sale or lease market ... with the recent oversupply of housing in Cheyenne, they're leasing the units out for very reasonable money. Cheyenne's housing market has been somewhat overbuilt on speculation lately as the rental & sales market shot up starting about 3-4 years ago. There's significantly more inventory in the MLS than has been historically available right now.

If you're willing to be out of the City, there's some very good buys in the county now. I know of a 60 acre horse property with a nice modular (with an almost full finished basement apartment for guests), horse shelters, fully fenced and divided pastures, landscaping, pellet stove heater and wood stove, mud room, redwood deck, yard hydrants to water the livestock, shelter belts, etc ... a turn-key horse property right now at $245,000.

You can still buy 40 acre parcels and put in a modular for a total investment of under $150,000. It will be bare prairie land, but it's a place .... Monthly cash requirement is pretty low, you'll be on your own water well and septic. Some of these have been built recently on spec, and are not selling well right now ... so may also be available for rent/lease as folks have left the area.

Part of the rental availability/price issue in Cheyenne will be your creditworthiness and whether or not you have local employment.

I would be happy to give you more details and information, depending on what part of the state you're moving to...?
