Google dragline "coal mine" "Powder River Basin" and you'll get several responses. Peabody's North Antelope Rochelle Mine, Kennecott's Cordero Rojo Mine, and Arch Coal's Black Thunder Mine all use them. All are south of Gillette. These are BIG draglines, I think some of the biggest in the world.

also depends on the type of dragline you are used to. I know Rawhide and Caballo mines use Friction-drive draglines. both of their draglines are re-spec'd hydro draglines, which if I recall is more closely related to what is used in phosphate operations.

I'm considering moving to Wyo. I lived in Green River when I was 15 and loved the area. I am a civil engineer and have done just about everything in construction. I live in Alabama and can"t seem to find any job leads in Wyo. I'M not deadset on SW Wyo. as I would like a few more trees than I remember back in 1975. I am single and will go anywhere. Just need a change! Can anybody give me any advice on where would be the best area to search? I want a job lined up before I go any further. Thanks!

Default Work/money/work/money

Thinking about moving to Gillette, interested in driving truck for one of the mines. Does anyone have any info about how to get hired on, or a number to call?

You may want to check under the State of Wyoming jobs, too. My s-i-l is a civil engineer for WYDOT (highway dept). They occasionally have jobs open up.
