Default What could you buy in the 300K range?

We've been researching real estate in Wyoming inparticular North eastern WY but I don't know that that's the cheapest cost of living in WY. Doesn't seem to be.
Ideally we're hoping to find acrage( as much as we could get) with a house that must have a main level bedroom( son in a wheelchair) although it doesn't have to be one level. We could also just buy land and build although if that's the case we wouldn't want to spend the 300K-400K on just the land.
What do you all think would be a reasonable expectation as far as what we could find on that sort of budget? ( We're both pretty blue collar but my son is severly disabled and has settlement money for this home but we really can't afford to go much over that.)
Should I look into a different part of Wyoming? Any ideas? I keep reading about housing costs in Wyoming- I assume it would be both easier and make more sense financially to just find a house already built.
Thanks yall.

Here in Torrington you'd be able to have a nice home outside of town, plus an outbuilding or two on 30-40 acres. If you preferred to live in town, $400K would get you one of the very best homes.

Take a look at:

Wheatland may also have something to meet your needs, and if you really want isolated country living, check in the Lusk area.

even in the NE corner 300 would buy you a nice home. lots around here in the 300-330 range on acerage.
SE corner you would get more bang for your buck since it is a buyers market there.
