Default Co vs Wy

We are looking at moving from Tulsa and Cheyenne & Casper were on our lists. They seen less expensive. I'm a credit manager and also teach as an adjunct at a local college. So I would be looking for similar work. Our son lives in Co Springs and we wanted to be close to him. So we were considering Pueblo also. Everything else seems very expensive. Had thoughts of Grand Junction, Montross, Durango as West side options. What are the pluses and minuses for Casper and Cheyene vs GJ, Montross, Durango, Pueblo?? I'm sure Casper and West Slope cities would be a 5 - 6 hour drive to Co Springs.
Thanks

Smile Wyoming has jobs

My husband and I moved to Casper last spring. We have liked it so far here. There are a plethora of jobs to be had if a person is able and willing (that being the key word) to work. It is very windy here and in Cheyenne over the winter season, just to warn you. The median house price is definitely higher that city-data info. We bought a house is a nicer neighborhood in the 250K range and this fall the same houses are sell for 275K range.

I think the drive to Denver is about 2.75 -3.5 hours depending on traffic. Cheyenne would be much closer if that is what you are wanting. One big benefit to WY is no state income tax, low property taxes and a 5% sales tax in most places (4% state and 1% local on average). Gas here is pretty cheap for the most part compared to national averages. It's $2.06 here in Casper today.

I hope this might help. Good luck!
