Gas prices
What are gas prices there? It's $3.65 here in Indiana. Soon I'll be stranded in a house with a high mortgage payment, high medical bills, can't drive to work cause I can't afford the gas each week, can't feed the kids because of the high cost of groceries these days, can't mow my grass because that requires gas so I'm thinking of buying sheep to have them mow it down but then that requires vet bills to keep them around and I'm sure it costs lots to feed them too. What's next to do? My wages sure are not increasing as fast as everything is going up.
I once visited the country of Holland when I was young and mostly everyone there road bikes to where they needed to go. I wouldn't mind that but there are not any bike paths where I live and the roads are not safe for pedestrians and bicycle riders, and what would I do to get to and from work come Winter time?
I sure hope the gas crisis is resolved real soon! And it's not like I'm a teenager driving out late at night just to hang with friends. I go to work, I go home and on the weekend I drive to get groceries and go back home. If I drive and use gas, it's usually for a reason.
Anyone agree with me?

Currently...it's $3.37 for regular where I purchase petrol. The Conoco station has replaced their price-sign with a digital one...I think because they grew tired from going out and manually changing the prices every day

Cheapest I saw today down here was $3.55 for regular. This weekend I'm driving to Colorado and Wyoming, for a week. Should be nice and pricey

I paid $3.58 today in Arkansas and unfortunately burned up most of that tank of gas going to three schools in three towns! The sad part is nobody is paying me mileage!
WyattE, it is serious and there really isn't a end in sight any time soon. With oil prices hitting record levels - everything we buy is on it's way up. My daughter was telling me she and her husband feel like they have no where else to cut back. I fear they are typical of most young couples with school age children.

OUCH!!!! Well, I'm in Cody, WY & we're paying 3.35 - I went on a 4000 road trip in Sept-Oct 07 & I did find the least expensive were in the midwest - KY, IN, west thru IA & then started to climb again. Good luck on your trip out west! Where in Wyo you coming?
It is a serious prob - you hear how much the price per barrel is going up & then the next day you hear how some bit oil company has hit record billions in profits this quarter. Pisses me off SOOO bad. I wonder & worry about young ppl too - isn't fair that they are not able to have what we had since of course that was always our goal...

I'm paying about $3.80 - $3.90 here in CA! That's for the "cheap" stuff! The 92 octane has hit $4 already in some areas. I'll be visiting WY this summer, looking forward to the cheaper gas prices

Howdy WyoMama! Going to go to Evergreen ,Co early in week, then a day trip to Medicine Bow. Meeting my future landlady. Hope to do "the move" mid June. Can't wait - hope to meet some of the great folks I've met on the boards.

I payed 3.67 at a Shell in Florida. It's sad when you don't allow yourself to live your life (go to beach, park..) because it's going to burn up your gas! It's so scary!

The real scary part is that the pump prices reflect what the futures buyers were paying several weeks ago- so it's not going to drop anytime soon
$118 a barrel this morning-YEEEESH!
Going to buy me a camel

Just traded in my gas-guzzling F150 about a month ago for a 2008 Honda non-hybrid civic. While the pickup averaged maybe 15 mpg or so, the civic averages close to 40 mpg, combined city and highway driving. That's saving me roughly 60% on fuel costs. I would highly recommend them, they're quite peppy and comfortable...
