Default Cheyenne

I keep seeing so much good stuff on Cheyenne. Just thinking of moving there for a little less stess. I am currently in the Marine Corps and quite frankly I am done with it. Not bad anything wrong with I have a wife and possibly a child on the way and 6 months overseas and 6 months home every year just isnt going to cut it for me. Union Pacific is pretty good with hiring vets and all so I am trying to get a job with them. Have been researching and everything seems great with Cheyenne and the Wyoming area. Anything I should know, any bads? Does anyone work or know who works for UP any good or bad with them?

I have a brother who is moving there from Des Moines, IA and he is excited about moving to Cheyenne. From his visit a month ago for a job interview, he liked the city and its drier climate relative to Iowa.

It is a city around 50,000 to 60,000 within city limits and is a unique community. I have been through there several times and did not find it to be "rat race" type of place. Compared to the Front Range cities of Colorado, Cheyenne is slower, more relaxed, and not as cookie-cutter like (it has more origniality). It is good sized city with a small town flavor and integrity, which is very good in my honest opinion. I plan on visiting in a month from now and looking forward to the visit.

Here's a thread that was started a while back that also concerns UP and Cheyenne. Perhaps this info will be of use to you:
