You caused me to get busy and get to the bottom of a situation that has been troubling me big time, ha ha. East of DT Jct there used to be a place called Fort Devils Tower. We ate lunch there 3 or 4 times. Then for about 4 years, never went that way. Went that way again about monthly starting 2018 to go up to Ekalaka. Well I go by there and couldn't figure out what happened to Fort Devils Tower. There is this little joint there, and I'm like, no that's not it.

So digging around I see that is what's left of it. They took out a bunch of the building, took down the pine tree and big tree in front, and no more little rv campground. Now they call it Devils Tower Gulch. Building with the restaurant is still the same and the one next to it. I had kinda concluded that it must have replaced it, but its just what's left. (Here's the old one and what's there now)

When we was moving here they were finishing up Devils Tower Gulch think they had done some log work . We ate there a time or two , and it been great, good and not so good. It is OK we usually just eat at the top of the Hill at Tower View.

They confused me by taking most of the trees out as well. Wasn't giving a lot of thought to it, but go by and think, hey, Fort Devils Tower should be around here somewhere. They are some sturdy log buildings. But the 2 buildings that are still there are definitely left over from the Fort.

Crook County must hold the title for no regular traffic lights. Nearest contender I can think of is Sublette, but they have those pedestrian stop lights on the hwy thru Pinedale. Only traffic light I can think of in Weston is on west end of Newcastle. Lusk is about same size as Sundance but has 2. 1 in Kemmerer at Penney Store. 1 in Thermop. Greybull and Lovell 1 each. Maybe since Sundance doesn't have hwy's crossing. 116 and 585 come in but end there. 4 way stop north of the Port might be the first traffic light in Sundance.
