Good for you, my best friend has a Master's Degree in Art History, graduated from one of the best colleges in Oregon for Art History and teaches at Portland Art Institute.. So I beg to differ....

I have to agree with you Tiki Girl... My mission is accomplished by defending those wrongly steriotyped. Each individual deserves to be treated like a person and judged by their character not their appearance or where they live or how much money they have... but I agree it has turned into nothing more than silliness...

Just to put in some useful info here. When my husband and I were looking into the Cheyenne area, some of the houses on the market that I looked at online were some of the most tastefully decorated I've seen. I think with the era of HGTV that a lot of people are into home decorating now, and are actually doing a pretty good job of it. But then again... beauty IS in the eye of the beholder!

Rawlins has Taco John's, Taco Bell, what must be the filthiest McDonald's on the face of the planet, and a couple of other places like that dive in the TA truck stop where the waitresses look like toothless meth addicts out on parole.
These were posted by Wyo2008. I screwed it up because I'm new at this and I'm a moron, lol! I had to comment on this because my husband and I stayed at The Oaktree Inn in Rawlins. It was very clean and modern. Penny's Diner next door was also cute, and people should not be surprised that it serves diner fare, because, well, it's a diner! Everything is cooked to order and everything was very hot and fresh. They had no problem with my special request of a grilled veggie breakfast burrito, which was excellent.

Most of the people seem like uneducated, uncouth, not particularly friendly and often quite frightening cretins. They are very coarse and blunt; and men women and children alike tend to be appallingly foul mouthed. They dress as if they pulled their clothes directly from the Salvation Army reject dumpster. Meth use, I understand, is a huge plague here - and I can believe it. Tattoos abound. Bookstores don't. Squalid trailer parks and filthy pickup trucks are everywhere. There is a heavy aura of tragedy about this place. Trashy little saloons are everywhere too - even though the town only has 8,600 people. It's a hard drinking little place to be sure. There must be twenty bars.

Hope this was helpful. It was most sincere.

Let me just say that I LMAO when I read Wyo2008 posts. His style is reminiscent of Charles Emerson Winchester the III on M*A*S*H!! Anyone else think so?

Yeah right. No offense taken because none was valid nor worth the read. And I'm sure there will be another post anyway.
