I moved to Laramie last August to attend UW. My fiance and I were accepted immediately and embraced by the locals as was my son who began his 5th grade year at
Spring Creek last year. He made many good friends right off the bat.

Our neighbors are extremely friendly and there is something to be said for being known by name at the bank, the grocery store, and the local pub.

Cheyenne is pretty welcoming to "outsiders", largely due to the presence of FE Warren AFB, which imports thousands of airmen from all over the US, so you tend to see more out-of-staters there than in most of Wyo.
The term outsider sounds a bit harsh. But really why I am commenting is because I am currently seeking out relocation opportunities for my family. We are a 6 person, African-American family with Christian values. I have lived in a city with racial divide and was wondering if we would experience a divide in Chyenne, Wyoming.
