Default Moving to Wyoming

I sold my property in Montana last week and am moving to Wyoming. Can anyone reccomend any certain counties to live in?
I am leaning towards living in Big Horn and Crook counties atm, but am open to other suggestions.
My family and I tend to be more self reliant and prefer to have neighbors that like to be the same way.

WyoMama is on a distinguished road
MIGHT want to do some research on Big Horn county just for fun...but Greybull & Basin are pretty OK. Might consider Johnson or Washakie if you are looking in that area. Crook is great as is Weston (Newcastle). Going south to Park or Albany rocks. Even Douglas (Carbon - or is it Converse - I get confused @) is nice too - a lot of fast access to great mountains. All of pretty self-sufficient towns in them so you don't have to hit the big towns very often (I order online for most things I can't get here in Cody - I have no prob waiting for things to get here...) & are isolated enough to give you peace & quiet & freedom. Hot Springs (T-mopolis) is another nice county tho T-mop is a LITTLE less self-sufficient but not that far from Worland so what you can't get in T-mop you could find in Worland. And being close to the hot springs would ROCK!!!!

Sheridan and Johnson County come to mind.

Sheridan has excellent medical facilities if needed. Between Sheridan and Buffalo there are several small towns and lots of seclusion. Independent folks. Friendly.

Beautiful area and the weather is pretty good do to being nestled up against the Big Horn Mountains.

For major shopping in Sheridan, we head 127 miles up the road to Billings. haha

Housing will be cheaper and more abundant in big horn county than all of the others mentioned-jobs if you need one will be more open to your choice in sheridan county, but housing in sheridan and johnson counties is a struggle for some-depends on how much bucks you got for your place in big sky country-if you are really lookin for a laid back area at this time I would reccomend BIG HORN COUNTY my future residence!

For that kind of money, there's all kinds of land available. Wooded, prairie, creek, against the edge of the mountains, up in the mountains.

Sheridan and Buffalo counties are kind of the Banana Belt. When storms come from the west, they hit the big horns and kind of break up. They reform about 15 miles east of town. So the mountains will get 14 inches of snow, East of town will get 14 inches of snow, and Sheridan and Buffalo will get 3 inches of snow.
