The people on this board are great
I just want to say that the people on this board are so friendly. I am seriously considering wyoming for a move but I gotta warn ya I am from Minnesota and I think we are great people to. What is the main attraction in wyoming why people move here? Besides all th friendly people? I am used to cold weather so 40 below is not a BIG deal. Thanks!

I'd say the biggest draw, other then the people, is the mountains, the lakes, hiking, fishing, hunting all very near.

I'm originally from PA. I now live in Cheyenne. My reasons for choosing WY after the USAF are many. A few for me are: the people, the history, the raw natural beauty, the hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, the economy, a real sense of the wild west and the romance that goes with it. Wyoming is "real." A person has to have some "sand", some "grit" , some "toughness" to make a go in WYO. What I get in return from living here is an appreciation for life. Life is too short. I'm not ready for the rockin chair. Wyoming makes me feel ALIVE!

Being able to be yourself & live in a state where your rights are respected & protected. We enjoy real freedom moreso than most states do. And ALMOST always - GREAT neighbors. Even if you have never met your neighbor, if they find out you need help, they will be there with THEIR friends helping you rebuild or re-side a part of your home after a storm, or whatever needs done - bring food when you get home from the hospital, the list goes on & on.......

I worked as a chef for years. I love to cook. But the elderly lady next door brings over food about once a week cause she worrys about me eating. Seeings how I'm all by myself.
I'm 6 ft and weigh 250 and she's worried I'm going to starv to death.
Last year, I was in the hospital. When I got out I was going through my bills. My water bill was normal. I thought that odd since I hadn't been home to use any water. Come to find out, the elderly neighbor lady was watering my lawn every day. She also mowed it every week during my 53 day hospital stay. My daughter and her husband come over to mow it and it was already done.
By the way. I hadn't met the lady until after I got out of the hospital. She was new to the neighborhood by just a couple weeks before I went in the hospital. She had just noticed that I wasn't around so she took care of business.
Thats, Wyoming.
