Thursday, 26 June.
Couple of nice rain showers come through Sheridan with a bit of lighting. But nothing severe.
Tonight there is a 40% chance of rain and thunderboomers, but again, no warning out on it.

hazard alert radios
We got ourselves one of those hazard alert weather radios from Radio Shack over the weekend. (I showed this thread to my husband and it's exactly what he hoped they had out there somewhere.) It sure brings peace of mind. Had lightening last night and I was able to sleep peacefully, feeling confident our little radio would do its thing if there was really something to be concerned about, like a potential tornado. Instead of me lying there awake half the night wondering if we should go sleep in the basement...
It cost about $70, so a bit expensive. $30 extra for the filter part that alerts for a specific area. We're glad we have it... Just wanted to let people know about the price if they were wondering. Thanks again for the info Elkhunter.

You will learn to trust it. Has it gone off yet? haha Mine just did. Will post the new threat in just a second.
Yeah, I bought mine for less then $20 but it alerts to everything within about 150 miles or so. Can't filter it out like the new ones will.
Watch out, this one I'm going to post is here now, but it's headed in your direction. You'll get to try out the new features. haha
