What are your favorite summertime memories?
Maybe this should be on the general forum, but just thought it would be fun to talk about here! So what are some cherished memories you had of summers in days gone by?

4 wheeling with my grandson. Fishing in the Big Horns. Hunting. Camping. We got it all just a few miles from Sheridan.

Our family didn't have enough money to take a "real" vacation, so when I was young, every Sunday my parents packed up me and my brothers and sisters and went to a different state park to go swimming and cook out. There was nothing better than after a day swimming, to walk up to our picnic area to the smell of BBQ chicken cooked over real charcoal. Then on our way home after our nose and shoulders were tight with sunburn, we'd stop at the Tastee Freeze for some ice cream. We might have never made it to Disney World, but it would have never held a candle to those special times we had.

My vacations were very similar growing up We didn't have much money, So we did a lot of stuff close to home... I loved fishing with my dad and my dad's step dad, I loved camping, and going to the park and swimming.
I am very blessed that we have gotten to take my daughter all over Montana, Oregon, & Wyoming.... something I didn't get to do growing up.
We try to save up enough money for at least once a year to take a road trip to see a state park, camp, or see a national park or something Sometimes it is a couple years of saving.. but always worth it in the end...
In the meantime we love to go up in the Bighorns and explore, and I love taking pictures of wildflowers! My daughter (3 1/2 years) just loves running around up there, she could entertain herself all day long

I love taking pics of flowers each year I take pictures of different things in my garden too.. Can't wait to take some more this summer... I want to make my own book too, you know how you can go to some of the photo website and make books with digital photos, I would love to have my own little wildflower book and list the name of each picture ect... haha but that is one of my many projects I am doing lol...

Yeah I have a few posted in the Wyo picture thread, Elkhunter is right.
I have a few more of flowers and stuff I grew in my garden last year, that are close up macro photos (some on here in the photography forum/some aren't); or if my hubby buys me flowers, I take close ups sometimes of the flowers... if you want I can show you some of those let me know if you are interested
