Question Paying Moving Costs??

What are the odds of finding a company to work for, driving truck, that will pay to move our family out there?? If you sign an agreement to work for them for a certain amount of time??

I think it is possible.. My husband's employer is paying our moving costs.. and has been very gracious to us.. In return we are obligated a year.

I would do some calling and see what happens.. that is where I started..

You could go on the the Wyoming job bank, found on www.wyoming.gov and look for employers that are hiring and start calling and see what relocation assistance they have to offer..

Good luck to you

Default Do it!

I used to drive truck. You gotta get used to driving in the snow and ice. But the company's are getting better in that they are everywhere. A company will sign you on no matter where you live. They don't have a home base anymore.

The nice thing about this area is that your going to make some miles. That's all we got. Miles and miles of miles. hahaha I say that jokingly. I had a cabover Pete. I swear I put a million miles on that old girl. 318 Detroit with a 4by4 brownings. I hit a lot of gears and I hit a lot of deers. hahaha You can appreiciate it.

You'd be surprised, Ranchester Wyoming has one of the biggest trucking centers around. Sheridan has a lot of local hauling but Ranchester is more virsifide. Go figure. A little town of about 1000 people. But the truckers there drive over the road, everywhere. Give them a look.

Default Thanks so Much!!

My husband is used to the snow and ice as we are in central ny now and he works plowing snow and salting all winter and drives tractor-trailer for the state all summer. I am going to start calling and checking this out, as he has already pretty much got a go ahead from the WYDOT, but if he has to forfeit a year to drive for someone else to get our butts moved out there I say GO FOR IT!! I am so anxious to get there, I wish we were going tomorrow, but need to wait for my 18 year old to graduate and move in with either her friends or she sister or brother before we take the youngest and head west.
Will have a big ol party when we get there and get settled and will post it on here so all you helpful people can come. Thanks a million!
