Hey everyone! Arrived in Cheyenne today, will be leaving tomorrow but will be back in a few days on our way back home to California. Brought my mom, dad & daughter back to visit the Black Hills and I think everyone is in love with Cheyenne. We ate at Shari's and sat across from a very nice military family and we talked back and forth throughout dinner! Can't get over home prices and the tax breaks here compared to California...not to mention the gas prices! About a dollar a gallon cheaper here than home. Perhaps the whole family will be up here soon, if I can convince the folks that winter is not that bad, we won't freeze and the wind is no worse than in Ukiah during a storm. We're driving from Cheyenne to Douglas, across the Nat'l Grasslands to Gillette tomorrow. We'll visit Devil's Tower before heading into the Black Hills in SD for a few days. Then we will be back later in the week. Everyone is so friendly. It's much bigger than Ukiah but has a friendlier atmosphere and more welcoming attitude than home! So happy to be here and hope that we'll be calling Cheyenne home soon!!!

Glad to hear you had a nice time there. I was just there on the 3rd, and headed into Colorado on the 4th. It was beautiful when I was there. I stayed at Little America Cheyenne for the first time, and found it to be a great place to stay, even though it was a little on the expensive side. The kids loved the huge pool, and the grounds are beautiful. Overall, I like Cheyenne a lot more than most of the cities in California.

The week prior I was camping on my property near Wheatland, and while it was beautiful, we did have some wind and rain, which always presents challenges when camping. It was nice to get out there again, as it always is. I just wish it were easier for me to do so more often.

Just want to say thanks to the good folks of Cheyenne and Wyoming in general. You made us all feel so welcome and it really sucked to come back to Northern California (home state!) and realize how many seriously rude people live here! We went on the horse drawn wagon tour of historic downtown and saw the Cheyenne Gunfighters show which were both fantastic! Look forward to coming back soon. :-)
