If you read the bfro.net, you can see the eyewitness reports. Most of them seem to correlate the same basic details. There was one about a GA hunter who saw it come under his tree stand. He was very shook up about it and would not go back.
President Theodore Roosevelt wrote an interesting article about Bigfoot. He knew a man who had an encounter with it. This man was with a hunting partner who was allegedly killed by a bigfoot. Roosevelt reported the surviving man's story, claiming he was stalked by this bigfoot as he treked back to civilization.
I also read an article published in a 1790's newpaper reporting how some men from Ashville, NC shot and killed a couple of big hairy bi-pedal creatures.
You never know how true any of this could be, but I say it could be possible. I am not a "believer" nor am I a disbeliever. 10 years ago, scientists discovered a species of deer in Vietnam previously unknown to exist. I just read were 100,000 gorillas were discovered in the congo which they did not know existed. That is amazing that 100,000 gorillas could be living in a place where science said there were no gorillas.

I heard that yesterday...remarkable, no?
I remember one time back when I attended Casper College and a group of us decided to drive up Casper Mountain for something to do (it was finals week and we were a bit stir-crazy and very sober). We were near Crimson Dawn Park and it was very late, not quite a full moon out and this 'thing' jumped from the trees to the middle of the road, then slowly ambled off. It seemed to be on four legs, but the front legs were a bit odd - longer in the front...and the entire time, it seemed to be looking at us (by then we had screeched to a sudden stop). Couldn't make out a discernible face, or any other recognizable features, but it had us turning around and making our way as fast as possible back down to town. There were five of us in that car and we all were reassuring the other person that yes, we had seen it too. We decided to chalk it up to being a black bear in order to sleep better that night...but I don't think anyone quite believed that, just from the way the front legs were formed and the way it walked.
Every time I had climbed or hiked on that mountain after, I toted a pistol and went only in daylight...always felt peculiar around that area.

It would be pretty cool if it were, but there are quite a few inconsistencies in their story. Additionally, Tom Biscardi, self-proclaimed Bigfoot expert, has already been outed for hoaxes in the past. Nevertheless, it'll be interesting to see what comes of this.

I think for me to believe it I would have to see one in person and it has to be living and not dead. Then I'll be a believer. I hope it is false so the creature can go on living in peace without people trying to chase it down.

I would rather see one dead so that it can be examined and proven beyond doubt. Seeing a fleeting glimpse of one alive does not prove anything. Once they have a body, they can put them on the endangered species list. I think it is fascinating. One researcher with the BFRO told me that they found hair and scat which was determined to be from an unidentified specie of primate. It was found somewhere in the North West. If they find a body, they will be able to match it.
BTW, CNN reported this thing as "Half ape, half man." That is kind of an ignorant assumption to make. The researchers of the BFRO believe Sasquatch to be a rare species of ape. If sasquatch is ever proven true, I don't think it is some spooky freak or wacko alien story. It is simply an animal that did not make it to the list of known species. That in itself is not so unusual. We are "discovering" new species of critters all the time.

Do a google search for nephilim. Some believe that the civilization before the flood did some grotesque experimentation with genetics that produced giants and probably other deformities. I believe the so-called 'neadrathals' we have dug up are some results of that. Just a thought.
