We are looking at Wyoming for a number of reasons. One is that we would like to be a help and a blessing where there are only about 35 Independent Baptist churches statewide. I am currently visiting Arapahoe. We are helping a mission church here for a few days. I will also be visiting other parts of the state this week. Thanks for the link to the newspapers and also for the suggestions on Wamsatter and Jeffery city. Now if I can only find where they are located.

I just visited Jeffery City today. It is in some beautiful country. About 125 people live in the area. I found a Baptist church there and met the Pastor. He is a kindly older gentleman who loves to talk.

I love that area. It is beautiful. When we left visiting the Pastor there, we saw a couple campfires off in the distant mountains about 10 miles apart. What a neat place.

Just as a caution, beware and do your research on any of the old uranium mining areas. Tailings are probably still there and could be adverse to your health. As you noted, very few people actually live in and around Jeffrey City. It wouldn't be my choice.

As long as you are kind open minded and do not talk down other religions I think God will help you no matter what little community you go to. Make it a matter of prayer, and please know that God loves all religions and their people who teach of Him. People will know you by your fruits and if you discriminate or degrade others and thier beliefs it may be harmful to your effort in teaching of Him. I don't understand not using the bible when teaching of Jesus Christ when it is about Him and His people, but I hope you bring joy to others if nothing else.

Yes of course. We would do it just like Jesus did. (The Jesus of the Bible that is.) The "Jesus" of men's imagination was very loving and tolerant toward error. Most people that follow that "Jesus" are usually tolerant of everything but Biblical truth. We are not interested in religion, however. We believe the Bible. Religious beliefs that contradict the Bible are simply . . . ., well, er, how can we say this in a religious politically correct sort of way?

Just a friendly reminder to stay on the original topic, if further religious discussion is needed then a new post should be made in the religious forums please Thanks

The original poster is trying to find a community that may be in need of a church

Yes, I want to get back on topic. We are offering to help plant a Bible believing church. Moderator cut: I took care of the post...

My son in law pastors an independent baptist church in Wyoming about 50 miles from Casper. Everytime I've visited there I've seen a lot of Independent Baptist Churches in that area and in other areas I've been too.
If you will PM me I can give you his name. He might know of a place looking for a pastor.
He's a Pensacola grad who's working on his masters from Maranatha.
