Question Laramie

I am debating between moving to Laramie vs Ashland, OR to go to school. Is Laramie a good place for someone that likes to spend a great deal of time in outdoor rec? How difficult is the winter there? Are there many opportunities there for music performers and "gigging"? Thanks for any info you could give me!~

Hi!

I posted a reply in your other post thread.

The Laramie area has A LOT to offer when it comes to outdoor activities: hiking, biking, rock climbing, bird/wildlife watching, picnic-ing, camping, fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, x-country skiing, down-hill skiing, snowboarding, innertubing/sledding, and probably a dozen other activities that I can't think of right now.

I don't think the winters are very difficult here at all - it depends on what climate you are used to though, I suppose.

Laramie probably would have some good gig opportunities, since it's a college town - Cheyenne (45 miles away) and Fort Collins (65 miles away) should also have some good gig opportunities.
