Question Fremont county newspapers?
I've been looking online at the Riverton Ranger and Lander Journal -- both appear to be one in the same from the online standpoint...and I just don't see a lot of content or organization to the classifieds or news articles, for that matter.

I was wondering if there were other papers or even local bulletin boards for Fremont county, or if those two are it? I would like to subscribe to one or the other of these for a few months, but am unsure if there would be much to them, as sparse as the content seems online. Thanks!

Nope, thats about it. And has been as far as I know since 1980. I don't know about the delivery time now. But up until 1998. You would get the Riverton Ranger for three days a week, after 4:00 pm. What it did was mainly firm up or dispell rumors started that morning. I used to get my news from the waitresses at the Sundowner motel when in for morning coffee.

Shadowwalker is correct, those are the only 2 newspapers here in fremont county. There is a bulletin board up by ACE that has some misc things on it, as far as events and things for sale. Everyonce in a while I pick up a buyers guide at a restaurant or a convenience store to see if there is anything good in it.

Thanks for the replies... I think I'll have my aunt send me a couple to see if it looks worth getting.

Now more than ever I want to move back to Wyoming before the taxes increase tenfold here in Minnesota- Land of Ten Thousand+ looking for government handouts.

Yeah I can only see it getting worse for a long time and not better. I'm just hoping that since we are so independent here in Wyoming and also have not been following to much in the resession foot steps of the east and west that the newly elected president will not effect us too much.

Sadly the new presidency will effect Minnesota, as if our taxes weren't high enough already. This state loves it's government programs though and there are plenty of people wanting to have a free helping. Too bad the US motto isn't : "If you want a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm"
