So far I haven't seen any weather alerts, other than the blizzard recently in South Dakota and over near the black hills area of Wyo.

Anyone else in Wyo had any weather alerts yet? Just curious

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST THIS EVENING.

THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND FALLING TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TODAY. THE SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE TO AROUND 1 INCH BY LATE AFTERNOON...WITH ANOTHER INCH POSSIBLE THIS EVENING. INITIALLY A WARM GROUND WILL MELT MUCH OF THE SNOW THAT FALLS EARLY ON...BUT COLDER AIR MOVING IN WILL ALLOW SNOW TO ACCUMULATE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING CREATING SLUSHY AND SLICK ROADS.

THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF LATE THIS EVENING...BUT ROADS WILL REMAIN SLUSHY AND SLICK THROUGH THE NIGHT.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING

it was crazy yesterday....my kids were playing outside while I was cutting firewood....it was 60 degrees....then the thunder started rollin'.....and then snow balls came from the sky! (I'm not talking hail....they were little tiny, soft, snow balls)....my kids had a blast in it...until the temperature dropped 20 degrees in 20 minutes! By 6pm it was 20 degrees....today it's 15 or something.

...winter storm watch in effect from saturday morning through late saturday night...

The national weather service in billings has issued a winter storm watch...which is in effect from saturday morning through late saturday night.

A powerful arctic front will blast across the forecast area saturday morning bringing dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills during the afternoon. The bitterly cold conditions will continue through saturday night. Snow will be likely along and behind the front saturday and saturday night. Accumulations will be likely...but at this time...exact amounts remain uncertain.

The front will usher in strong northwest winds causing blowing and drifting snow and much reduced visibilities. In addition...dangerous wind chills of -20f to -40f degrees will be likely across the plains. Anyone planning travel this weekend and into early next week should be prepared for bitterly cold temperatures and hazardous traveling conditions. Ranchers should take actions to protect vulnerable livestock.

A winter storm watch is issued when severe winter weather is possible but not imminent. At this time there is the potential for significant snow accumulations. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Slow down and allow extra time when travelling. Keep your fuel tank full. Practice your winter safety rules. Keep blankets...an extra flashlight...food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
