Default Self-sufficient websites for WY?

My mother is looking for websites on what grows well in WY as she hopes to do her own garden and canning when we move there. Anything on being self-contained, gardening, and other outdorsy things would be great. My 3 year old also loves fishing so anything on the fishing spots and camping places in SW WY would be appriciated. Thank you to everyone who can help.

Nin Nin, I spent 27 years in SW Wyoming and was a master gardener. Any specific gardening info can be found at the county extension office . I had a small greenhouse which made a big difference. The season is a short one so if she looks at plants that grow in zone 2 or 3 she will have a good idea of what grows there. Again a small green house helps!

The Green River flows right through the town of Green River and just south of town there is a large lake called Flaming Gorge. Lots of good fishing all along the river and in the lake. We used to spend a lot of time North of there in the Pinedale area. Tons of good fishing in the Windriver mountains.

Some good sites, though not only for Wyoming are,Gardenweb,Pharmer Phils,Daves Garden, you can get good information and advice.
Another good one is Homesteadingtoday, forum members are great, but really watch what you post. Some of the Mods are extra primadonnas and will boot you from the site for what is taken as normal activities on other forums.
