Default Hairdress and Rancher in Rawlins

Has anyone lived in Rawlins, WY since the 1930's? I'm trying to find out if there was a business there at one time where a female might have been a hairdresser? Also, where would someone have owned a ranch?... "In" Rawlins or would it have had to be on the outskirts? Thankyou for any help!

LOL - yeah there are female hairdressers - haven't found one run by a guy. AND people own a ranch or two around here also.

Why have you dug up an old thread to ask this very vague question?

Default Ranchers/Hairdressers in Rawlins

I'm trying to learn what a deceased relative (Mrs. Marie Barclay) was doing in Rawlins in the 1920's. She was supposed to have been a hairdresser and lived on a ranch. That's according to other relatives so it may or may not be true. I just figured the locals could help with clues?

A couple of my neighbors are older and have lived here all their life. I plan to go visit them before I leave for the winter. I have only been here a few months. I'll make note of your relative's name and ask them if they knew her. There are no Barclay's listed in the phone book.

Not trying to hijack your post, just wanted to say I moved this post into it's own post and when I went to type the title I put "Hairdress" instead of "Hairdresser" unfortunately I can't go back and changed titles, only posts... so sorry for my typo

There is a hairdresser here in Sheridan with the last name of Barclay. Maybe her husband is related somehow to gal you are looking for information on.
