My "fleet" of 3/4 ton diesel pick-up trucks all cost between $140-165 per year; they are a 1986 & 1995 Ford, and a 1996 Dodge.
Our Subaru Legacy Wagons (1995 & 1998) cost $110.
Various cars, such as a 1976 Alfa Romeo, an MB 300Dt 1982, a 1972 BMW 2002 ... all cost $110-130 per year. Our 1992 Ford Ranger v-6 gas powered costs $110.
My basic 2 horse bumper pull trailer is $46, and my 28' gooseneck stock trailer is $76. Various small single axle boat trailers (most, home built) cost $30-45
All of these vehicles have dropped to the lowest category of renewal by age.
Wyoming bases the ownership (essentially, an annual property tax) portion of the vehicle registration on the original manufacturer's list price (per NADA or other vehicle guide ... and they keep the old ones on the shelf, so they can check the price of older vehicles, too), which doesn't change, and the gross weight of the vehicle. It doesn't matter for annual vehicle registration purposes what you paid for the vehicle; that only affects the sales tax due upon purchase. So a truck will cost more than a car, because it's usually a heavier vehicle.
