Default Mining jobs

How'w the mining situation up there? It is beginning to really suck here in AZ. I'm looking for a mine mechanic job. I have extensive experience as a mechanic, a mine mechanic, a journeyman machinist, and as a millwright. I'm originally from PA so the weather won't bother me much.

They are still hiring at the coal mines here in Gillette. In fact, I just saw some ads in yesterday's paper. I'll look for it & get you some info, probably tomorrow, okay?

GEORGIANMT,

I would really appreciate it. It looks like Monday will be my last day here. I forgot to add that I am a certified stick welder and have recently learned TIG and MIG. Pretty much if I take it apart I can put it back together. Some things I can put back together even if I didn't take them apart. I put in a little over 2800 hours last year so overtime isn't a problem either.

It really stinks. I found a job I actually enjoy and the econonmy has to tank.

Man, that sucks! I notice it's been a few months. How are things going for you for the job search? I hope the search is over for you & you've landed at a place you love. If not, I'd like to invite you to come to my mining job board, register & post your resume so companies can find you - you can also search the jobs that are currently posted. I'm not sure if there are any that would be what you're looking for, but you could take a look. Our site is always free for the job seeker, so there's no risk to you.

Best wishes!
Stacie

Default It has slowed down here for the first time in a while

We're in a hiring freeze because of the drop in demand. They say it happens this time of year but will pick back up once the A/C across the country come on. I notice that the housing avail isn't as tight as it once was. We've got about 10% of our truck fleet parked and we're cutting back on overtime.
