Housing varies a lot from town to town. There's some new homes in Sundance and all the way down the line to 100 year old fixer-uppers.
The closer you get to Gillette, the higher the prices (in general) so you don't always get what you pay for.
There is a full selection of homes in the area from town to backwoods rural, it just depends on what you want. Just check out the water first. The water in the Moorcroft area is full of iron and pretty hard whereas, the water in Sundance is great water and the water we have in my neighborhood is the 2nd best in the state (according to WY Rural Water).

You also have to take into account soil type and weather. Some places have tons of snow and no services and others have bentonite (gumbo) and are impossible to get in/out of when wet.

Check the papers and the real estate guide.

Default Worland WY move

Hello everyone

I have joined the Americorps and I'm moving to Worland WY in April. I'm looking forward to the move. I actually have a cousin who lives in Gillette.

I'm moving from Superior WI! I was born and raised in Ironwood MI. I love the north-but the -50 below weather at times can BRRRRRR

How is Worland? Does anyone know of any good places to rent. Just curious about thoughts/information.

Thanks

Dustin
