Default Lander schools

Can anyone tell me how the schools are in Lander? Was looking on-line. The schools there rated 4 out of 10. Ten being the best. Due to bad test scores? Anyone have more info?

Wish I could offer current information, but the schools here were quite good a few decades ago (I remember our school Averages being in the up 80 and low 90 percentile when I went to school here ~ 1979~92). There is a newer HS here and based on talk from a co-worker who has a daughter in HS, it sounds like they push kids WAY harder now than they did when I went. They also offer a lot more choices to explore different possible interests (career paths).

A better place to ask is probably the Lander Talk email list ~ this is offered through NOLS and tends to be VERY active:

NOLS - Alumni E-mail List Services

List name is "Lander Talk". Then just post your question there. You'll likely get replys from both parents and students alike.

My cousin graduated from Lander about 6 years ago and she really speaks highly of the high school, esp. the art instructor. My own daughter attended North Elementary when we lived there and I was pleased with the teachers and the programs, such as music concerts.
