Default Homeschooling in Douglas

My family and I are moving to Douglas later this month from Vermont. We don't know anything about the state, but we're VERY excited! We're currently homeschooling our 5yr old, who right now is using ABeka 1st grade curriculum. Our youngest is a tad young right now (she's 6 months old), but she'll be homeschooled too.

I was wondering if there were any other homeschoolers in that area? Any groups that meet or anything?

I know there's a huge convention held there every year -- anyone know when it is? We've never been to one and are pretty eager to check it out.

Thanks for the help! We're VERY MUCH looking forward to getting settled over in Wyoming!!

Check out the Homeschoolers of Wyoming (H.O.W.) site. I don't know what it is offhand, you'll have to google it, but I think some of their member are around that area, maybe even the president of the group, can't remember for sure. The convention is in May, so if you get here by then, I'd go. Be a great way to meet a bunch of HS'ers right off the bat. I don't live down there, but I LOVE homeschooling in Wyoming.

Welcome to Wyoming!

I am planning on homeschooling and live in the Sheridan area.
In Douglas I am pretty sure there is a "Homeschool group" for mom's and homeschooled kiddos to get together in different activities like P.E., art, ect.

There is one in the Sheridan and Buffalo areas.

On the H.O.W. website there is information as to when, where, ect about the convention in Douglas,Wy. I was thinking about going, but I am probably going to attend the convention next year. My daughter is 4 at the moment

Best of luck to you and Welcome to Wyoming
