Default Suggestions for turkey hunting in Wyoming

I have lived here for a year and was wondering where besides NE corner is a good place to go hunting. It needs to be a General area, kind of confused because most of the general areas are flat a prarie like. ot sure if turkeys would hang out in thses areas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to direct message me any info, thanks again.

I'm not sure where you are living, but here in Sheridan turkeys are everywhere. We had three toms cross the street I live on (which is one of the busier streets in town) stopping traffic while they did so just this past Thurs. They are both in town and out of town. Down by my mother-in-law's (which is on the outskirts of town) they are all over the place out in the open on flat prairie areas. I think you should have no problems finding turkeys in the general areas on your hunting map. Good Luck and happy hunting!!

Go to the local sport's shop and pick up a copy of the Walk-in Area Hunting Atlas for all the public areas listed by county. That will tell you where there is public access and the type of hunting available in the area. Johnson and Sheridan counties have 8 different walk-in areas between them for turkey hunting. I typically have seen them anywhere near the creeks or rivers, and they've been in big numbers. They seem especially numerous along the Powder river. Good luck!

Be careful--doesn't Dick Cheney live in Wyoming? Although he is a turkey--go for it!
