Oh boy - do you ever sound like my hubby. When I met him, he was single, never-married, 37 years old and lived in an apartment attached to a 5-car garage. It used to be a gas station.

You ssssooooo make me laugh, shadowwalker.

They said yesterday it should be the last week of June or first week of July. We can't hardly wait. I will be building a 30 x 48 pole barn garage after they set the house on it's foundation. I guess they may need the free space to set it up, so I have to wait. I figure I can do everything myself ,as usual.
I havent figured out how to set the 30 foot trusses on the top of it yet. I hope they have a crane truck. Any ideas that don't cost alot of money?
Once they are on the top I can swing them upright myself and then the rest is cake, maybe real old hard crusty cake. Ha,ha,

30 footers shouldn't be a problem. I used to stand them up with three people. One person up each pole and one in the middle with a notched 2 by. The guy in the middle can just swing it up. Once up, the 2 by will rest against the bottom of the truss and be holding the top. The guys up each pole hold it against the pole until up and then run 5, 20D ringshanks into it. Will stay put until you start putting in your roof perlins.

40 footers were a real challenge haha

Default Land home packages

Hello posters.

Could anybody here give me some more ballpark prices on land home packages in Wyoming and Nevada. I am looking for at least 2 acres and a home of at least 1800 SQ.FT.

Some ideas please.

Thank you so much

Thanks Elkhunter that's how we did the 30 by 40 addition on the home in Mills,wy. I figured that was the way I'd end up doing it if I could find two more people. I sometimes have to do stuff myself, usually because someone I took the word of didn't show.
I might have to do this myself and figure if I tied off one end I could swing the other around inside the house to set it on the opposite wall. At least on this project I won't have to raise the framed walls by myself.
Handyjoe, there are all kinds of prices, my deal is the lowest I have found. Most of the houses sitting on land, I just didn't want to pay that much for. You can get houses around Casper here for around $170,000.00 all the way up to a easy $250,000.00 to 300, 000.00 with a few acres and up with around the footage your looking for.
The prices do seem to be lowering on alot of properties. We just got tired of our stuff in two large storage sheds and living in this trailer court run by Nazi wannabe's. And found a place to get to.
Now there are some good deals with trailer houses sitting on land but most aren't on permanent foundations and it takes a large percentage of the price for a down payment. We didn't want to tie that much (cash) money up with a place we might have trouble selling later on.
