Default Sheridan is out - Wheatland is home.

I wanted to say thank you to all those that tried to help me try and find a place in Sheridan. I love this state because of wonderful people like you.

Needless to say, Sheridan is OUT... to expensive and to darn tough to find a place. I got a really cute place in Wheatland. Now, I just have to haul all my junk there.

Again, thank you!!! If anybody is around Wheatland and likes to play cribbage, hit me up.

Well - good luck in Wheaterville (that's what us natives call it...). My husband and I grew up there. Its a bit conservative for us, very small, hometown feel. But, I agree... I hope you like the wind. It blows A LOT!

It's too bad you couldn't have held out for a bit longer. Sheridan is now starting to open up. Kristy and I were talking the other day about how the paper is now starting to list more openings.

I've lived in Wheatland and I liked it there. Was working construction so spent a lot of hours building the interstate and very few hours enjoying Wheatland. But the people were terrific and it DOES have the small town, down home feeling to it.

Welcome to Wyoming

Elk is right, I moved here in the very worst of trying to find a place to live, and was almost homeless once, and my husband has a decent profession. By God's good graces we have always found a place to live.

Recently though with some of the slowdown in Sheridan in certain industries, rentals have freed up a bit. I have seen more in the paper, and I have seen homes that were renting for a few hundred more a month when I first moved here in 2007 go down a bit in price to rent. So things I think may level off.

I wish you the best of luck at your new place, I haven't visited that area yet
