The biggest problem facing nuke power plants is how to take care of the waste products, and (most importantly) where to store it. Now that we've been seeing increasing earthquake activity worldwide (even Iowa just had a tremor last night) Yucca Mtn in Nevada no longer seems feaseable.

I always wondered about using the shuttles to launch nuke-waste into space, but now the shuttles program is being retired after 4 more flights...

Greetings, who owns Jeffrey City ? I am looking for a small secure building to rent to store my camp trailer in, so I don't need to drag it back and forth from Riverton. I do a lot of camping on Green Mountain. Great place, very few people camp up there. I gess it is because there is nothing much to do or see. Thanks

You can usually find out who owns a piece of property by visiting the County property tax office.

Yes that does work. But it looks like it has been some time since you have seen Jeffrey City, not many street signs and addresses left on the few remaining buildings. Besides one of the locals will know witch ones are still used, or empty.

The County property tax office will have maps of the area so you can located a property based on location. You can also go to google maps to see the street names if you zoom in.

My first reaction would be to say that IF there's still Uranium out there, then the US Gov't 'owns' the town...and if that's the case, then the Chinese Gov't own's it...

...might wanna brush-up on your Mandarin or Cantonese, if you're still interested in buying or renting property there...

Well I for one sure as hell would'nt be caught dead making fun of any Wyomingite's from any particular area...I happen to know of one young-lady who packed my sorry-A** to the hospital in Lander, after I was body-slammed into a powder-river panel by a 3 yr old bull...

...she happens to be from a ranching family just east of Jeffrey City (and married to one of the best stockmen I've ever had the good fortune of working alongside)...and I miss her 'wit' and real-world humour very much...
