I am planning to move to the Rock Springs/ Laramie part of Wyoming. I have a chocolate lab and will be moving with him. What is the job scene like and how is housing for allowing dogs the size of a 70 pound lab. Trained and non descructive.

Hi! I've moved to Laramie recently myself. While I haven't found a job yet--there doesn't seem to be too much, especially in my field--you might want to check University of Wyoming - Human Resources for job listings. Good luck!!

Not many landlords want a 70-pound dog in their rentals, gentle and well-trained as they might be. That'll be your biggest problem in finding housing. When my son was released from the Navy 15 years ago, he got himself an Alaskan husky. I warned him about the difficulty in finding a rental with a dog, but he was sure he could find one. He ended up buying a home so he could keep it.

It worked out well for him, as he sold his house last month for $125,000 profit, but that's just an example of what dog ownership can mean.

You'll probably have to plan on a place that's a little run down unless you get lucky.
