Default Just wondering, Tax and land prices

Was looking at real estate ad in a Jackson Hole paper 5+ acres that allows horses over $3 million. Then ads in Star Valley you could get 300 to 500 acres for the same price and the kicker is the property taxes on ag land is based on production. I guess if you have the money to live in Jackson , you can fit in with that social life.

maybe the people selling this land had ancestors who sold the Brooklyn Bridge?

I suppose if someone just wanted to "own" land without trees or water or anything, and just wanted to visit there to camp or something it might be ok.

The full moon was on the 7th That's ok... I just thought perhaps I was going crazy.

to the OP.. I'm sure that not everyone in Jackson has that "high and mighty" persona that such prices would suggest. There are down to earth people everywhere.

Yes, but the "down to earth people" generally cannot afford those sticker shock priced houses and properties which prevail in the area.
