Default Sheridan/Buffalo IT Jobs

Aside from the fact that I own a devalued townhome in an outer suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul, it is now my number one goal to relocate to Sheridan.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on IT jobs in the Sheridan/Buffalo area (software development in particular)?

I can do other things as well, but would prefer to stay in my field.

Thanks.

Joking?
I'm sure there are some.. however, i got my degree in IT and had to move to a metro area to find a job that paid above minimum wage in the IT field. Some of the people I went to school with were the Secretaries/admins of companies that the IT duties were falling onto.

I would suggest calling the local computer companies and see what the prospects are? These jobs generally are not advertised so you have to do some leg work. .. Contracts come up, people quit, maybe you have a skill that could be useful to a local company

If there was a job for my area of expertise I would move back to Wyoming in a heartbeat . (sys admin/tech)

You can give these two websites a looksee. They cover the entire state. But you can narrow the search by selecting cities, towns, counties, etc. Type of job, pay, anything. You'll see when you get on there.

Thanks for the information. That is pretty much the answer that I expected. I'll just keep looking and see what comes up.

Thumbs up Just a Suggestion

I am an IT Manager in Cheyenne. The best advice I can give you is the people to people networking and not general posting. It has been my experience that the real good jobs come from already knowing someone. The worst hiring I did was through a big name recruiting place. The best hire I did was a referral by a fellow employee that used to work with the individual. Try to find some contacts there. Sounds like you may be starting that now. Churches, organizations, and Web-sites like this may be the best value to get you started. Good luck.
