i live in gillette and am a home builder. affordable housing is hard to come by right now. my project is building/selling 1477 sq ft 2 story twin homes for $146,900. they feature 3 bed, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage. full fenced back yards, all appliances including range,dishwasher, fridge,washer and dryer yada yada yada. we just opened up phase 2 and are selling with taget close dates as early as september.
homes less than ours are non existant, and lots of older homes sell for more. higher on the price scale 275,000 and up there are lots to choose from.

How would I get in touch with you regarding your homes for sale? My wife and I will be coming up to Gillette on July 12th for a job interview and have been reading about the tight housing market there and am starting to wonder what we'd end up living in if we move. How many homes are you building and is there a waiting list for them?

We were in the same boat. I got the best luck by running an ad in the Gillette News-Record under their looking for housing/rent, etc. listing. I put information that made me stand out from other renters (said I'm a teacher, take good care of home, etc.) and I got several calls. Many landlords have a hard time finding good, responsible tenants. You might try this as it worked very well for us. We had some houses to choose from and within days found one that was perfect for us until we sell our home in MT and can buy one there. Best of luck to your friend!
