Find a house in Gillette
Is there an abundance of homes to choose from in the Gillette area? What would be the cost of a moderate home in Gillette?

Not yet....
There are currently over 2000 lots planned for Gillette, but not enough skilled people to build them due to housing crunch. Apartments are harder to find....2 out 1244 apartments last I knew. Some are on the horizon, but at least a year away.
1980?- 2000 sq ft in Westover area is around $1.22 per sq. ft.

Oops!!! 122.00 per sq. ft.
Thanks Shannon94!
I meant 122.00 per sq ft not 1.22. Basically, anything between $150-$250's are spoken for at the moment. When you get up into the $300's the sq. ft. ratio comes down a little.

Only thought is to ask the employer to take care of your friend because they have deeper pockets and desperate for good workers. This may work if your single, but not for a family. I would check the paper for roommates need in residential areas. If this all fails, I would either look at buying a townhouse or modular home from dealer. They usually have a package deal with trailer and land. Also, you might have to commute from Moorcroft, Wright, and Buffalo.

Any idea what an average pricer per sq. ft. is for modular homes (not manufactured) in Wyoming?

I don't think that's what was meant. I think navyvet79 meant a "modular" home not a "manufactured" home - not one that was manufactured in WY. "Modular" homes are built to UBC standards "Manufactured" homes are not. There are no manufactured or modular homes built in WY.

Not sure if this "modular" or "manufactured" or something else but in the mid 70's I worked for Pulte Homes(5th largest home builder in the US) and we built homes in a factory just outside of Laramie. At the time they all went to a big subdivision in Rawlins. Wonder if it's still there?
When I lived in Gillette it was common knowledge that trailers, assume these would be considered manufactured homes, in Wyoming were nicknamed "Colorado rejects" cause they had much tougher standards than Wyoming did. Is the same true today?
